Altavista: The Condo That Has It All

Altavista Condominium, Ballston

Did you ever wonder which condominium in Arlington has the most convenient access to the metro and restaurants? My argument would be the Altavista Condominium in Ballston.

Why?

1. Altavista is the mecca for professionals. Getting to work doesn’t have to be a chore, especially when you can roll out of bed and still make it on time. You never have to step foot outside on those rainy, cold days to get to work as the Ballston Metro entrance is literally right underneath the building.

2. Walk to everything. It is convenient and has access to anything you’d want and need. You never have to step foot outside to get to the brand-new Ballston Quarter, shops, and restaurants. Just step out of the elevator on the Mezzanine and take a covered bridge straight to the mall.

3. The best hotel is literally your neighbor! Say you have visitors coming into town, but you don’t have the room to host them, or you just don’t want them staying with you… The Hilton Hotel and the Altavista share the same building! The first 7 floors consist of the hotel and floors 8 and up are the condominium!

Watch the video below as I show you the Ballston Quarter, the covered walk back to the building, and a newly renovated 2 bedrooms 2 bath that just went under contract. But don’t worry, we might just have another coming up in the building.

My face may look angry in the thumbnail below for this episode of “Shawn and Matt Show”. I wasn’t really that angry but completely dumbfounded by a California lawmaker’s recent proposal.

In an effort to help the California home affordability crisis, he put forth a bill that would tax home flippers 25% if they sold the home within 3 years. I applaud efforts to try and make homes affordable to everyone, but to penalize a small sector of the housing market by imposing a business-ending tax is not the answer in my opinion.
